Delftse efficiency-ingenieurs en de verspreiding van Taylorisme in Nederland

De managementfilosofie die de Amerikaanse ingenieur Frederick Taylor aan het eind van de 19e eeuw ontwikkelde en bekend werd als scientific management (wetenschappelijk bedrijfsbeheer), of taylorisme, had in het interbellum aanzienlijke impact op veranderingen in
industriële werkrelaties in Nederland. Dit artikel onderzoekt de rol van zogenaamde ‘efficiency-ingenieurs’ in de verspreiding en acceptatie van taylorisme in Nederland in het interbellum. Het artikel concludeert dat van de verschillende beroepsgroepen die taylorisme omarmden het de efficiency-ingenieurs waren die het meest bijdroegen aan de popularisering van taylorisme in Nederland.
